Techniques In Which The Smart Phone Can Help Students

Many of the smart phone applications which are available today are very much helpful in improving research, teaching and for a better life. Not very long ago, carrying a camera, GPS device or a computer seemed to be absurd. Nowadays, most of the professors and academic administrators are carrying the all-in-one devices such as the tablet computers or the smart phones, which has many functions held in a single gadget. Most of them have found different ways to make these unique devices useful.

The application which many find to be quite useful is also perhaps the most important, which is checking emails. A number of the professors today believe that keeping computers with them always, is great aid when compiling and collaborating information is needed to make lectures.

Another important application, which many of them find very useful, is the task specific application Attendance Taking. Via this application, they can simply use their smart phone to take attendance. What’s more they can add pictures either given by the university or the ones they have taken themselves, storing information about them as well, helping them familiarize themselves with them. This application has proven to be quite helpful, because no longer is there any fear of the attendance sheet getting lost in the middle of the semester and creating immense confusion.

Saving and reading articles for future purpose through having some printouts is the old way of reading research articles. Today, there are many applications, which allow professors to send their articles of interest directly to their smart phone or tablet computer. They also have a chance of storing their syllabus over and have it handy whenever a student asks them about it. Having their own library on the smart phone through the Evernote and Goodreader allows for the user to mark out  the PDFs saved on the system.

The camera in the phone enables the user to take pictures of important notes before it is removed off the whiteboard.
